Local Alumni Take the Next Level By Storm

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, MD - It's March and all college basketball fans know what that means....that's right tourney time! What better way to enhance your interest this season then to know better the men's college players that once owned the hardwood in Montgomery County, Maryland and the greater Washington area. In other words the athletes representing our area at the next level, (And quite well I might add.)
After much effort I have compiled a list of all current four year college basketball playing alumni in the GamedayMD region, (Currently defined as all Montgomery County schools public and private, plus DeMatha, St. John's, and Gonzaga ). An impressive 54 players from our area can be found on rosters, filling roles as walk-on's, bench players, and even stars on major conference teams.
With so many Division I colleges it becomes very difficult to gauge what schools will be in your bracket in a few weeks, but I have attempted to break down the alumni list into three categories for Division I players and their respective teams:
Looking Good (Near certain NCAA tournament team)
On the Bubble (Close, but may need conference tournament help)
Outside Looking In (Better luck next year, barring a minor miracle.)
Also, for your enjoyment I have included all Division II and III players, many of which will have a chance to compete in their own respective tournaments.
