New Annandale head coach Mike Scott has told Gameday that star-studded wide receiver Melvin Robinson will no longer be a part of his team.
The 6-foot-3 195-pound receiver will instead attend school in another state.
Robinson was ranked by Rivals.com as a three-star player and the Commonwealth's 17th best prospect. At one point he was listed in the Rivals250, which as the name suggests, is bestowed upon the best 250 prospects in the nation.
He currently holds one offer from West Virginia while hearing interest from Virginia, Virginia Tech, Penn State, North Carolina and Maryland.
Playing in a run-oriented double-wing offense, Robinson managed 30 receptions for 597 yards and five touchdowns in 2009.
Earning first-team all-met, first-team all-region and first-team all-district honors, Robinson leaves a significant void for Annandale on offense.
