BASEBALL - Tonight at the Loudoun County Public School's board meeting, Mr. Brad Bauder was approved as the first Baseball Coach at Woodgrove High School. Mr. Bauder comes to Woodgrove after serving as the Assistant Varsity Coach at Loudoun Valley (4 years) and Freedom High School (1 year). Mr. Bauder has also coached boy's basketball at Potomac Falls High School for the past 4 years, including serving as the assistant varsity coach on the 2010 AA State Championship Team. Mr. Bauder, a resident of Western Loudoun and a graduate of Broad Run High School, played Division I baseball at Virginia Tech including serving as team captain in 2003 and 2004. A four year starter and an All Big East Team selection in 2001 and 2004, Mr. Bauder plans on building a Woodgrove Baseball tradition on hard work, respect, class and character.
GIRL'S LACROSSSE - Tonight at the Loudoun County Public School's board meeting, Dr. Robert Fuller was approved as the first Head Girl's Lacrosse Coach at Woodgrove High School. Dr. Fuller, a resident of Western Loudoun and a Dentist in Leesburg, comes to us with 5 years of high school coaching experience in girl's lacrosse and volleyball at Loudoun Valley and Notre Dame Academy respectively. Dr. Fuller has been involved in youth sports and community organizations in Western Loudoun for the past 18 years. Most recently, Dr. Fuller served two years on the Loudoun Valley girl's lacrosse staff as an assistant JV coach and varsity defensive specialist. Dr. Fuller plans on building a strong program to reflect the high level of support, interest and success that has been prevalent in Western Loudoun since the mid 1990's.
