College Watch: Big Ten Conference

In breaking Penn State's sophomore rushing record, becoming one of the Nittany Lions' all-time leading rushers and also managing to get on the Heisman Trophy watchlist, it's safe to say Evan Royster has been a success.

Our next installment of the "College Watch" brings us to the Big 10 conference. Despite only one school in this conference really ever going after area talent, which is Penn State, our kids have more than proven themselves while in Happy Valley. With Evan Royster now leaving his mark all over the Big 10, and Deion Butler, who was drafted in the fifth round, in the years prior having loads of success, Joe Paterno and the rest of the Nittany Lion coaching staff has had more than enough reasons to chase down Northern Virginia talent. So, it's no wonder they went hard after Lake Braddock's Khamerone Kolb, who will play for Penn State this fall, and based on their depth chart, he should get plenty of looks for playing time in the near future.

Three other area players will be suiting up for Big Ten schools, all of whom are walk-ons, but one of which has been putting on his best Cody Grimm impression as he's worked his way up from scout team player to a quality addition on the depth chart.
